Synapse Clinical Research Foundation (SCRF) is a not for profit organization founded to provide patients & their family members, medical & allied healthcare providers, regulators and general public an easy access to information on clinical trials currently running in India for different medical diseases. It offers India's first & only clinical trial registry for easy access to general public.

Synapse is formed of Greek word sunapsis meaning point of contact & sunaptein, meaning to join together [sun-, syn- + haptein, to fasten]. Thus SCRF is being formed as an interface which brings the patient and recruiters together. It’s a platform or junction where the need of getting & providing information on clinical trials by user and the providers respectively is alloyed.

SCRF will represent the views and concerns of patient to the government and other legislative bodies including regulatory agencies. It will work to safeguard the health, welfare and interests of all participants in clinical trials.

SCRF will create awareness among people on the know-how of clinical trials. It is committed to foster professionalism, ethical sensitivity, and technical skills among persons involved in scientific & clinical research. SCRF will also provide medical education solutions specially focusing on the clinical trials industry.

SCRF is an autonomous body that is driven by professionals. It is a Not for profit organization but aims to be economically self-sustaining for its activities.
